Event Description
At this event we will walk in an area where there are beautiful panoramic views of the region's beaches to the north of Ericeira, on a route that starts at Praia de São Lourenço and runs along this rugged coastline, with impressive, abrupt cliffs above the sand that almost disappears in the flood of the Atlantic Ocean as far as the eye can see. Come along with our group for another morning well spent. Another event not to be missed!
São Lourenço Beach:
Praia de São Lourenço is a very spacious beach and one of the most popular in the region. It is located in the parish of Santo Isidoro, more precisely between the towns of Ribamar and São Lourenço. It combines the beauty of its landscape - marked by the mouth of the Safarujo and the long stretch of sand - with the quality of the facilities available to bathers: as well as a large car park, it has a beach support (with changing rooms, toilets, a first-aid post and a pleasant bar with a terrace), a sports area on the sand, showers, access walkways, thatches and sun loungers for hire. Its waves, which are part of the Ericeira World Surfing Reserve, are very popular with surfers and stand up paddle boarders.
Calada Beach:
This small, sheltered bay, which is also part of the parish of Encarnação, stands out for its natural beauty, surrounded by high, steep cliffs. Despite its rugged terrain, it has good road access and a generous car park. It has a modern beach support (which, as well as changing rooms, toilets and a first aid post, includes an attractive bar with a terrace), showers, access walkways, a sports area on the sand, and sunbeds and sun loungers for hire. Its waves are popular with surfers and bodyboarders.
Assenta Beach:
The cosy Praia da Assenta is surrounded by a majestic rocky hillside and an area of wild vegetation characteristic of the coast. Its clear waters allow you to see the rocks at the bottom of the sea, which bring them to the surface at low tide, creating beautiful natural lagoons.
