A WALKING nowadays, it's an excellent activity to bring us closer to nature in general, to a healthier environment, a real escape from the stresses of everyday life, allowing us to enjoy natural and historical landscapes and other fantastic places that often escape our gaze, in short, experience unforgettable moments live.

Caminhando also organises various walks in Parks and Nature Reserves and Protected Landscapessuch as: Serra de Sintra, Serra da Arrábida, Arriba Fóssil da Costa da Caparica and Mata dos Medos, Serra da Estrela, Serra do Açor, Serra da Gardunha, Serras do Socorro and Archeira, Vale do Guadiana, Serras de Aires e Candeeiros, Estuário do Tejo e do Sado, Berlengas, among other places.

LONG WALKS

If you like exploring long walking routes or more challenging experiences, then these hikes are for you!

O group idealised and created for the followers of long walksA series of walks that he called LONG WALKS. These major routes have emerged, with the aim of providing a more intense and challenging experience for hikers.

These great hikes are characterised by the fact that they always have the at least 20 kilometres long. However, most of them have a route length of 25 to 26 kilometresand most of them take place in natural parks.

They are examples of these great walking routesThere are also routes in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park and the Arrábida Natural Park, not forgetting the Serra de Montejunto Protected Landscape and the Serra de Aires e Candeeiros Natural Park.

These routes usually take place on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month.

We are committed to creating more spectacular walking routes to add to our current calendar, in order to meet the expectations of the great walkers!

HIKING DIFFICULTY LEVELS

Classifying an event isn't always an easy task, which is why we've applied the criteria of common sense and reasonableness here. subtitle and with the description of the route itself, give a rough idea of the level of difficulty that awaits walkers.

The events of Walking have been designed for different types of people, so all that is needed is adequate physical fitness and, above all, a special love and motivation for walking. The Walking determines the level of difficulty of each event according to the distance, the type of terrain and, where possible, the forecast weather conditions.

If you're still not sure, our contact details are always available. And with more or less difficulty, come along and have fun in contact with nature.

Level 1

Level 1 walks are aimed at everyone, they are those where you don't walk long distances or up steep slopes and they usually take place on even ground.

Level 2

Level 2 hikes are still aimed at everyone, but the distances are a little longer and there may be some climbs and descents that require a little more effort and physical skill, although you don't need to be very physically prepared.

Level 3

Level 3 walks are suitable for the vast majority of people, but it's important to be in good health and reasonably fit. In addition, the motivation to overcome one obstacle or another is always an asset. It's normal to encounter some steep gradients and possibly some slightly more difficult terrain, although nothing transcendent.

Level 4

Level 4 walks are aimed at anyone who is relatively fit and does some physical exercise or walks regularly. These walks may have steep gradients at various stages of the route and sometimes rougher terrain.

Level 5

Level 5 hikes are aimed at people who usually hike, who are well prepared physically, who are able to withstand the effort and who have high levels of motivation and endurance. On these hikes there are usually uneven areas and the terrain is bound to be technically difficult. In this case, we're usually talking about hikes of more than 30 kilometres.
