Event Description

This walk starts next to the Azóia football pitch, in the heart of the Serra da Arrábida Natural Park. We'll set off in the company of magnificent views of this part of the coast, with the sea on the horizon. We'll go to two lesser-known and less accessible beaches on this coast: Praia do Inferno and Praia da Cova da Mijona, both with demanding routes to finally reach the sand. Another event not to be missed!

Inferno Beach:

Praia do Inferno Beach, or Praia do Penedo Beach, has a small sandy beach. To the south, it is delimited by a cliff protrusion with a perfect arch at the end. Just over 25 metres from the shore is an islet. This beach is frequented by line fishermen. It can be reached by sea or via a cliff path.

Cova da Mijona Beach:

Praia da Mijona Beach has a long stretch of sand. There are pebbles here. The beach is located in a wide cove, protected to the west by a protruding cliff edge. Next to it is a house that is totally isolated from the world. To the east, close to the coast, a group of rocks rise up. Access is via a path in the cliff ravine on the western slope.
