EVENT DESCRIPTION: "Hiking & Diving - Circuit of the 6 river beaches"

In this activity proposal we'll go on 2 walks and discover 6 river beaches, with the possibility of several dives. This is the perfect programme for a summer's day. We'll also stay in a 3-star hotel in the beautiful town of Sertã. On Saturday we'll go to three beaches in the municipality of Vila de Rei and on Sunday we'll visit three more (two in Proença-a-Nova and one in Mação). Come with us and you won't regret it! Walk: "Penedo Furado Beach, Walkways, Waterfall and Viewpoint"

Points of interest: River Beach of Penedo Furado, Walkways, Penedo Waterfall, Ribeira de Codes and Viewpoint of Penedo Furado and Fragas do Rabadão

The Penedo Furado River Beach is one of the most popular spots for the many tourists who visit the Vila de Rei municipality every year. Its crystal-clear water, which slowly makes its way through the natural passage in the rock, the unique characteristics of the rocky massif and the fantastic waterfalls make this place an authentic paradise. The route of the Penedo Furado Walkways will be a great experience, with idyllic scenery, awakening the adventurer in each one of us and we continue on to the Penedo Furado Waterfall, and then we have the viewpoints with impressive views, the existence of unique fauna and flora and even the presence of a fossil more than 480 million years old, which tells one of the many national legends. The circular route is around 2 kilometres long and is ideal for kids and adults alike to explore. The recommended starting point is the award-winning Penedo Furado River Beach. During your journey, let yourself be carried away by the charms of nature and enjoy this breathtaking spectacle. For those wishing to walk a few kilometres further, we will explore the other side of this river paradise, thus increasing the distance to be covered.

Walking: "Malhadal Trail"

Points of interest: Malhadal River Beach, Philippine Bridge and Natural Landscapes

This walk will take us along the Ribeira de Isna, around the weir where the Praia Fluvial do Malhadal is located, in the municipality of Proença-a-Nova, and we'll also take advantage of our route to get to know the Philippine Bridge that exists here.

Route length: 4 kilometres

Malhadal River Beach

At the base of the Serra das Corgas, deep in the interior of Portugal, where the Ribeira da Isna (a tributary of the River Zêzere) meanders, the Praia Fluvial do Malhadal is a great place to relax and get in touch with nature. Far from any town, it is characterised by an enormous stretch of water (about 1 km), surrounded by abundant vegetation and rugged terrain.

River Beach of Aldeia Ruiva

The Aldeia Ruiva River Beach, next to the village of the same name, stands out for the quality of the facilities available. Also recognised for the natural beauty of the Isna stream, the reservoir is structured with several levels, ensuring greater safety for children and adults.

Cardigos River Beach

The Praia Fluvial de Cardigos is located 5 minutes from the parish of Cardigos, next to the Vergancinho Dam, and is characterised above all by the transparency of the water. It has its own barbecue facilities, a spacious picnic area, a bar and a pleasant rest area. There is also a very inviting grassy area to spread out your towel (with natural shade) and a small area with sand and straw hats.
