EVENT DESCRIPTION: "Hiking & Diving - Circuit of the 6 river beaches"

In this activity proposal, we'll go on 2 hikes and discover 6 river beaches, with the possibility of several dives. This is the perfect programme for a summer's day. We'll also stay in a 3-star hotel in the beautiful town of Sertã and on Sunday we'll go to the Cabril reservoir and the Zêzere river. Come with us and you won't regret it! Places limited

Walk: "Bostelim Beach to Várzea Carreira Bridge”

Points of interest: Ruins of Azenhas and Moinho, Bostelim River Beach, Várzea Carreira Bridge, Figueira Valley Bridge and Balada Fountain

The Ribeira do Bostelim rises in the municipality of Proença-a-Nova and runs for more than 20 kilometres, meandering through fertile valleys, passing under old bridges and crossing old roads until it flows into the Ribeira da Isna, in the municipality of Vila de Rei. Along its banks you'll find mills, levadas, weirs and many other curious details worthy of interest. It's near the end of its course, in the parish of Fundada, that you'll find the campsite and a river beach that bears its name. It is precisely here that our walking route begins, following its bank and then stretching along the Ribeira da Isna to the century-old Várzea Carreira Bridge, where the return section to the starting point begins. In the first half of this practically flat route, the proximity of the water, the shadows of the trees and the various points of interest that transport the visitor to a recent, but at the same time distant past, repair the body and spirit for an unforgettable walk that is completed by passing an original threshing floor near the end.

Walking: “Zêzere Trail”

Points of interest: Pedrogão Pequeno, Philippine Bridge, Moinho das Freiras Tunnel, Levada Trail, Bouçã Reservoir, Aveleiras Fountain and Roman Road

This walk will take us along a Roman road, the only overland route that existed until 1954 to connect the banks of the River Zêzere, flanked by a forest rich in cork oaks that inhabit the magnificent granite escarpments located next to the Ribeira dos Porteleiros. You'll also be able to see the 17th-century Philippine Bridge, which is currently Pedrógão Pequeno's business card, and enjoy various viewpoints and rest areas. Along this route you'll also walk along the Levada Trail, through the Moinho das Freiras tunnel, a place with an extraordinarily beautiful landscape.
