This walk takes you through a beautiful area of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, Quinta do Pisão, allowing you to get to know not only all the features of the area, but also part of the recently-qualified Ribeira de Vinhas path. Another event not to be missed!

Quinta do Pisão

This walk starts at Quinta do Pisão and heads towards Penhas do Marmeleiro, along the new Ribeira das Vinhas trail. You'll enjoy the diversity of landscapes, through forests, riparian galleries and pastures, on an idyllic route that highlights the ancient traditions of Cascais.

Human presence at Quinta do Pisão dates back to prehistoric times, with traces in the Porto Covo cave referenced as belonging to the Neolithic and Chalcolithic periods and the Bronze Age and Iron Age, i.e. between 4500 and 5000 years ago. The cave was probably used as a necropolis.
