In this event, we'll walk through some of Lisbon's great green spaces, starting at Jardim do Campo Grande, passing Quinta das Conchas in Lumiar, Mata de Alvalade, Parque da Bela Vista, among many other pleasant places to enjoy. Quinta das Conchas

Designed and developed in the mid-16th century by Afonso de Torres, it is one of the most beautiful estates left in Lisbon. It has two distinct areas: the lower part has a large garden area containing a multi-sports arena, and the upper part consists of relatively dense woodland. An open area with 24 hectares of lawns and woodland, it is a place of high scenic value and remarkable ecological value, offering visitors a picnic area, children's playground, forest paths with good conditions for cross-country running and off-road cycling.

Aquilino Ribeiro Machado Garden and Horticultural Park

It's a pedestrianised green corridor linking Avenida do Brasil and Alta de Lisboa, with around 25,000 square metres of green space, a fitness area and two seating areas, a further 33 plots for urban gardening and is named after the first mayor of Lisbon after 25 April 1974.

José Gomes Ferreira Park or Alvalade Forest

As part of Lisbon's Main Green Structure, the José Gomes Ferreira Park, or Mata de Alvalade as it is commonly known, serves as an excellent place for relaxation and leisure right in the centre of the city due to its location and characteristics. Named in honour of the writer and poet (1900-1985), the park is located on land that was once an old farm, such as the Quintas de Alvalade, Charca and Narigão.
