Event Description
This activity proposal aims to provide a weekend in the area of Torre de Moncorvo, with an emphasis on the Sabor Lakes route, viewpoints and swings, as well as walks along streams, mills and the traditional almond trees in bloom. We'll also have the opportunity to take walks in Torre de Moncorvo and Foz do Sabor. Come and join us for another event full of nature and beautiful landscapes not to be missed!
TIME: Departure from Lisbon at 6.30am
RETURN: Arrival in Lisbon at 7.30pm

2nd April (Friday)

Walking the Mill Route and the Millers' Trail

Distance: 11 kilometres
Difficulty: 3.5 (Scale from 1 to 5, 1 being the easiest)

Walking the Mill Route and the Millers' Trail
The route stretches along old footpaths used by millers to cross between the mills in the village and the municipality of Freixo de Espada à Cinta. And by shepherds and farmers to access the pastures and plantations at the bottom of the valleys by the river. Along the way there are four magnificent waterfalls, the villages of Eiras das Vacas and Pulpado, the Fonte da Saúde, the Mina de Galena, geological formations such as the Fraga Amarela and the old mills along the watercourse.
Lunch will be in the form of a picnic, which is the responsibility of each participant

Saturday 3rd April

Walking the Caldeirão Route
The Caldeirão Route runs along centuries-old paths used for daily agricultural tasks, whether grinding or threshing corn or travelling to the gardens. Highlights include the chapel of S. Sebastião, the fountains, the Mother Church, the municipality's threshing floor, the mill, Ribeiro Grande, Caldeirão and the Palameiro dam.
Distance: 7 kilometres
Difficulty: 3.5 (Scale from 1 to 5, 1 being the easiest)

17h30 - Tour of Torre de Moncorvo - Suggested visit to the Mother Church and the Iron Museum
