This proposed walk starts in the centre of the village of Faião (Terrugem) and heads towards a green valley where the Cabrela stream flows serenely. Along the way there are many places where you'll hear the sound of rushing water, and you'll pass through woods where you'll just want to stay or have a picnic. Further on, we'll reach the Fervença Waterfall, a natural wonderland with impressive waterfalls. There's also a chance to see an old Roman bridge and an abandoned village halfway up the hillside, where we'll arrive at the start of our walk! Another event not to be missed!

Fervença Waterfall:

The Fervença or Bajouca Waterfall is located in the town of Fervença, near Terrugem, and is the largest in the municipality of Sintra. This waterfall is fed by a stream with a reasonable flow, which comes from Granja do Marquês and then rushes down the hillside towards Ribeira da Cabrela, a tributary of the River Lizandro. In the past, this stream drained the marshes that existed at Quinta da Granja or Marquês, as it was also called because it was owned by the first Marquês de Pombal.
