Event Description

This hiking trip consists of walking along one of the most beautiful coastal trails in the world, the Fishermen's Trail on the Costa Vicentina. We'll do it in two stages: one linking Porto Covo to Aljezur, over almost 100 kilometres (4 days) and another stage, from Aljezur to Cape St Vincent (3 days), about 75 kilometres long. Another event not to be missed!

Rota Vicentina - Fishermen's Trail:

Always by the sea, following the paths used by locals to access the beaches and fishing grounds. It's a single track The trail is only walkable, along the cliffs, with lots of sand and therefore more demanding from a physical point of view. A challenge of permanent contact with the sea wind, the harshness of the coastal landscape and the presence of wild and persistent nature.

Day 1 - Aljezur - Monte Ruivo - 26kms

Here are some points of interest: Aljezur, Praia da Arrifana, Barranco do Canal and Monte Ruivo.

Day 2 - Monte Ruivo - Vila do Bispo - 26kms

Here are some points of interest: Praia da Bordeira, Bordeira, Ribeira da Bordeira, Carrapaateira, Praia da Zimbreirinha, Parque Eólico da Lagoa Funda and Vila do Bispo.

Day 3 - Vila do Bispo - Cabo de São Vicente- 21kms

Here are some points of interest: Ponta Ruiva Beach, Telheiro Beach, Barranco das Quebradas, Pedra das Gaivotas and Cabo de São Vicente.
