Event Description

This hiking trip by Caminhando will take us along a beautiful route, between several trails in the Serra de Alburitel, very close to Ourém. Along the way, we will pass several paths and trails that will lead us to the “famous” Talegre Swing, inaugurated in May 2020, with a superb 360º view. Another event not to be missed!

Talegre Swing and Alburitel Ridge

In Alburitel, a village in the municipality of Ourém, 18 kilometres from Fátima, a group of six young people thought of something that isn't very common: creating a swing in a spot where you can lose sight of the Alburitel mountain range. The idea came to them after they spent a weekend in the Serra da Lousã and came across wooden swings. Then they just got to work.

The Talegre Swing (Talegre is a geodesic landmark at the top of the mountain) was inaugurated on 16 May 2020. Since then, many people have been curious to stop by and take a few minutes to relax and enjoy the beautiful view. The local authority gave its approval for the construction of the swing, which was built using eucalyptus trees from the mountains.
