Vale da Rocha and Cabeço da Pedra do Sino

The Cabeço da Pedra do Sino, in the parish of Santa Bárbara, is located at the top of the Vimeiro limestone unit. Several cavities are known to form part of an orthogonal system associated with Cova do Texugo and Cova da Moura. This area is of great ecological and landscape interest and has native vegetation (oaks, haks, ash trees).

Porto Dinheiro Beach

This long, beautiful beach is located next to a small fishing village, where there are many good restaurants. The departure of the small boats that leave daily for their labour is a moment not to be missed. This beach is the scene of the famous Festa do Mar (Sea Festival), with the traditional vacada on the beach, outside the Blue Flag beach boundary, which takes place on the first weekend of August each year, and is a very popular and traditional activity in the region. Equally popular is the Procession by Sea of Our Lady of Monserrate, from Porto Dinheiro beach to Peniche, towards the festival in honour of Our Lady of Good Voyage, which also takes place at the beginning of August each year.
