Event Description
In this event we will embark on a cruise to discover some of the hidden treasures of the Tagus River, its banks and its mouchões, on a journey that will take us north to the Mouchão da Casa Branca, or Ilha dos Cavalos de Alter.
The “Mouchão da Casa Branca” is one of the largest islands in the River Tagus, and as well as being a truly wild place, it is very green, full of willows and aquatic plants, which often remain underwater when the tide rises to its highest point. A paradise for the many birds that live there and can usually be seen (Grey Heron, Little Egret, Mallard and Eagles, to name but a few of the larger species).
The boat has tables, an awning to protect you from the sun and a toilet.
