Event Description
This event is based on a boat trip in the Herdade da Mourisca and Gâmbia area. Come along and join us on this tour full of nature and knowledge in a setting of great natural beauty, in the heart of the Sado Estuary Nature Reserve.
Boat trip in Mourisca at sunset:
This tour lasts 2 hours and covers a distance of around 18 kilometres. You'll have the chance to see up to 40 different species in high season, particularly in autumn and winter.
One of the great attractions on this type of tour is the Padion Haliaetus (Fish Eagle), as well as the observation of the Charadriiformes (Waders and Gulls) and Phoenicopteriformes (Flamingos). The tour will have a Tour Guide who is trained in outdoor tourism activities and has extensive knowledge of birdlife, having been included on the National List of Bird Ringers.
